5.1. Methodological overview

The course is structured in 10 sessions of 5 hours, of which 25 will be participatory lectures and the other 25 hours will be seminars aimed at the development and resolution of practical cases that relate to what is presented in the lectures.

The bibliography related to both lectures and coursework will be available as indicated by the teacher at the beginning of the course.

The seminars will be organized in sessions of 2.5 hours and in them the students will gradually work with different case studies related to the practical aspects of businesses when developing their professional activity. The students must solve the problems with their own work, with the possibility to attend tutorials when needed. 

5.2. Learning tasks

Teaching is done in class 21 of the Faculty of Law and it is developed through lectures and presentation of case study sessions.

5.3. Syllabus

The course will address the following topics:

  • Physical work : energy consumption
  • Biomechanics : physical work
  • Anthropometry: dimensional relationships 
  • Musculoskeletal injuries and overload 
  • Ergonomic evaluation methods 
  • Environmental conditions : noise , temperature, lighting 
  • integrated design of jobs. Cost-benefit analysis
